“Start-Up Sunday” Marks Beginning of Program Year

Return of Choir and Picnic Feature Preview for Fall Fund-Raiser

On Sunday, September 15th, St. Mark’s kicked off the program year with the return of our choir to the 10:00 Eucharist, followed by a picnic on the church lawn. After their summer break, the choir regaled us with the theme from Cabaret at the postlude as a “promo” for our fall-fund raiser, coming up on October 19th.

The service was followed by a picnic on the lawn; we were blessed with wonderful weather, great food and conversation.

In addition, the 8:00 a.m. spoken Eucharist resumed, and this week we will again pick up the practice of Compline (night prayer) on Zoom at 8:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Next Sunday, September 22nd, we will commission the church school teachers and students as classes resume. We will also present those beginning the process of confirmation.
