On Sunday, May 7th, the 15-strong Team ADAM St. Mark’s Godspeed headed to Van Neste Square in downtown Ridgewood for the 30th annual Hike for Hope benefiting Family Promise of Bergen County, an organization that provides support to working families in our area who are experiencing homelessness. Our squad raised $8,750 at press time, once again the largest team contribution.  All told the event assembled 222 walkers who collectively raised over $50,000.

Since 1993, the Hike for Hope, formerly known as Bike Bergen or the Hike or Bike, has brought families, congregations, community organizations, school and youth groups, and individuals of all ages together to bring awareness to family homelessness and raise funds for Family Promise of Bergen County’s life-changing programs. Participants complete a three-mile walk through the heart of Ridgewood, beginning and ending at Van Neste Square. Afterwards, Hikers will enjoy activities, giveaways, snacks, music, games, contests, and more! Prizes will be awarded in various categories.

St. Mark’s team was for years championed by Adam Rosignolo, who as a member of your youth group tirelessly recruited and encouraged participants. Since his tragic and untimely death in 2013 we have kept his memory alive by continuing to walk, hike or bike at this annual event.

Donations are still welcome!  We would love to hit the $9,000 mark!  Please visit our team page for more information.  Thank you to all who participated and contributed to this worthy endeavor.
