St. Mark’s Closes Centennial Year with Epiphany Pageant

Publication of this story was delayed due to the death of Fr. Jim Warnke, which occurred the next day

On January 11th, St. Mark’s observed the Feast of the Epiphany (transferred from January 7th) as the culmination of our year-long 100th anniversary celebration.

During the service, we once again had a “pop-up pageant” where we enacted the story of Jesus’ birth at the journey of the Magi. Volunteers take a bag and only learn what part they will play when they put on their costume.

Afterwards we had a festive reception featuring the singing of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”.  Pardon the camera person’s thumb!
