Speakeasy Party Sizzles our Centennial Summer

Flappers and dandies, side-cars and red velvet cake. St. Mark’s continued our 100th anniversary celebration with a Speakeasy Party, recalling the costumes, libation, music and dances of the year we were born.

Beyond a shimmering “secret door”, Carroll Hall was transformed into a glowing saloon where the sounds of ragtime and dixieland filled the air. There were cocktails and mocktails at the bar and Charleston lessons on the dance floor. Plus plenty to keep your strength up, including finger sandwiches on the “newly invented” Wonder Bread!

Below are some images and video of this enchanted evening. Many thanks to the Centennial Committee for another joy-filled milestone in our 100th year.
