Math Adventures & Word Play Honored at Middle School

The Math Adventures and Word Play Saturday tutoring program at St. Mark’s was honored Friday at the Thomas Jefferson Middle School’s annual “Celebrating Service” assembly for the program’s contribution to the well-being of the community’s children.

From its humble beginnings 15 years ago with six students and three tutors, there are now more than 100 children enrolled with 15 adult mentors assisting with mathematics, reading and writing skills.
