Math Adventures and Word Play is back in person!
After over two years of online learning, the Math Adventures & Word Play returned to Carroll Hall for an in-person Orientation & Workshop session on October 22nd, with over 40 students, parents and volunteers. Since the onset of COVID-19 in March of 2020, MAWP has been meeting on Zoom.
“It feels absolutely fantastic to be back in person!” said MAWP director Ardie Walser. “Our MAWP team, consisting of Kesha Rodriguez, Jeanette Adams, Charelle Hanley, Elizabeth Hooper, Jean-Gratien Uwisayve and Pat Philips, did a great job of responding to the questions of the grateful parents who have registered their children for the program. It was wonderful to have with us that day the very talented and generous undergraduate students from Ramapo College who did a fabulous job of working with a number of our young scholars during the workshop session that took place after the orientation. People in general appeared to be excited about the program and how it might help them to help their child to fulfill their academic and social potential. It was a good day … a very good day!”
