“It’s All About Love” an Episcopal Revival
Earlier this week, St. Markers joined approximately 1,200 Episcopalians in Baltimore for It’s All About Love: A Festival for the Jesus Movement. This was a church-wide revival meeting focused on three areas: racial reconciliation, creation care, and evangelism.
We heard from charismatic leaders of The Episcopal Church including:
- The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, Presiding Bishop
- Julia Ayala Harris, President of the House of Deputies
- the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, author and organizer
- the Rt. Rev. Gene Robinson, retired bishop of New Hampshire
We gained wisdom from author Brian D. McLaren; theologian Dr. Kwok Pui Lan, whose perspectives were shaped by her experience growing up in colonized Hong Kong; indigenous rights advocate Sarah Augustine; and environmentalist the Rev. Mariama White-Hammond, among many others. We chose from dozens of topical workshops created to help us further the work of the church in the world.
Expect to hear more from our attendees as we unpack our experience and discern how the Spirit will use it for the life of St. Mark’s.
