Guest Organist Rob Keiser Joins Us for Advent & Christmas
We welcome back Rob Keiser as our guest organist through the holidays while Director of Music George Wesner performs his regular stint at Radio City Music Hall.
Rob received his Bachelors in Music in piano performance from Ithaca College, winning the prestigious Mary Hayes North Piano Competition Award in 2008. He received his Masters of Arts in piano performance form Hunter College, CUNY, winning their coveted concerto competition in 2012 for his performance of Liszt’s Totentanz. He is also working towards his DMA at the CUNY Graduate Center, where he has performed several solo and collaborative recitals
Mr. Keiser is busy as a performer in New York and New Jersey, and has formed an orchestra, Vari Musicisti with his wife Teresa Giardina. He has extensive experience collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists, recently performing recitals with vocalists and instrumentalists in New York and New Jersey. He also has been teaching private piano students at the Lindeblad School of Music since summer 2014, where he has a studio of about 35 students. He is also the staff accompanist there and has performed in many recitals with vocalists and instrumentalists. Mr. Keiser has been the musical director in several off-Broadway shows and continues to partner with many vocalists and instrumentalists as a collaborative pianist. Summer festival appearances include Italy’s Adriatic Chamber Music Festival in 2007 and the Brevard Music Festival in 2010.
