George Wesner & Fran Duffy to perform “On Broadway” November 12th
On November 12th at 7:00 pm, join us for On Broadway, a concert by Director of Music George Wesner on organ and piano and Fran Duffy on the harp, featuring the inimitable JACK.
Without spoilers, this will be a light-hearted salute to the Great White Way that is guaranteed to warm your heart.
George has been the principal organist at Radio City Music Hall for 40+ years and has played over 6,000 shows for more than 28 million people. He has appeared with the American Symphony Orchestra and world premiere film events for Disney, Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, the Grammy Awards and PBS TV. He brings to bear a wide range of group and solo experience from classical to sacred to popular music, performing, directing and arranging in academic, religious and concert settings. Fran is Principal Harp of the Wheeling and Allentown Symphony Orchestras, the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and performs regularly with the American Ballet Theatre in Lincoln Center. She has been the harpist for the Broadway show Wicked. She has also performed with the New York Philharmonic, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Albany and Hartford Symphony orchestras. This year she was elected to the American Harp Society Foundation Board of Directors and recently received a doctorate at Rutgers Mason School of the Arts.
Admission is free, with a free-will offering taken towards the purchase of new vestments for our choir.
