Ardie Walser Quartet to Provide Music for July 31st Service

On Sunday, July 31st, our worship service at 10:00 a.m. will be enhanced by music from the Ardie Walser Quartet.

  • Parishioner Dr. Ardie Walser as singer, pianist and songwriter, was a member of the award-winning vocal trio Black Tie, two-time winners of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Club (MAC) Award for Outstanding Vocal Group, and the winners of the Bistro Awards for outstanding vocal group and best New York Debut.
  • Radam Schwarz, Hammond B3 organist and jazz pianist, has built his reputation over the last 35 years playing with such great musicians as Arthur and Red Prysock, Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Al Hibler, David “Fathead” Newman, Russell Malone, Cecil Brooks III, and Jimmy Ford. He continues to make music history today playing with renowned artists Bill Saxton, Iron City, and the Spirit of Life Ensemble.
  • Ian Kenselaar has been playing bass for almost twenty years and has dedicated their life to music. Ian plays with various groups, performing music of various genres including jazz, indie rock and Turkish folk. Ian has been developing their talents as a musician for many years and is excited to perform their first solo set for you today!
  • Jarrett Walser, after his studies at NJPAC, has continued to pursue his passion for music at Rutgers University: Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he received his B.A. (2012) and M.M. (2017) in Jazz Performance. Jarrett has made a career playing with various artists over a wide variety of genres from jazz, to rock, to theater. Some notable artists Jarett has performed with include Rufus Reid and Chico Freeman.

In addition to leading the hymns, the Quartet will entertain with an “extended postlude” at the conclusion of the service. A lemonade and iced tea reception will follow on the lawn.
